WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) Winger George North has been ruled out of the remainder of Wales' rugby tour of New Zealand after injuring his hamstring in Saturday's first test against the All Blacks.

North was injured during the second half at Eden Park, where New Zealand won 39-21 to take a 1-0 lead in the three test series. Wales plays the Chiefs Super Rugby team on Tuesday before the second and third test matches at Wellington and Dunedin.

The 24-year-old North was playing his 65th test on Saturday and was one of Wales' best players, making six line breaks. Wales coach Warren Gatland described North's performance as ''absolutely outstanding.''

The tourists have already called in 18-year-old Ospreys winger Keelen Giles as cover.
