Indians outfielder Grady Sizemore has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right knee contusion, the team announced Monday.

Sizemore, batting .282 with six home runs and 11 RBI in 18 games, has been out since May 10 with the injury. He also missed the first 14 games of the season following microfracture surgery on his left knee.

The Indians recalled outfielder Travis Buck from Triple-A Columbus to fill out the roster. Buck played in 10 games with the Indians this season before being demoted April 19. Buck hit .241 with two RBIs with the Indians, and was batting .333 with three homers and 21 RBIs in 18 games for Columbus.

According to MLB.com, "Sizemore's assignment to the DL is retroactive to Wednesday, meaning he will be eligible for activation on May 26. That happens to be a scheduled off-day for Cleveland, so the center fielder could potentially be ready to rejoin the lineup for the Tribe's May 27-29 road series against Tampa Bay.
