The Cleveland Indians announced the club has activated OF Grady Sizemore from the 15-day disabled list. Sizemore was placed on the disabled list for the second time this season on May 16 with a right knee contusion after injuring his knee sliding into second base on May 10 vs. Tampa Bay.
In 18 games prior to the injury, he batted .282 (22-78) with 15 runs scored, 10 doubles, 6HR and 11 RBI in 18 games, ranking tied for 15th in the American League in home runs (6) and tied for 17th in doubles (10) at the time of the DL transaction despite missing the season’s first 14 games rehabbing from left knee surgery in June 2010.
