Hilda's Passion wins $150,000 Hurricane Bertie

Hilda's Passion, trained by Todd Pletcher, led gate-to-wire Sunday to win the $150,000 Hurricane Bertie by 21/2 lengths Sunday over Ms Vanenzza at Gulfstream Park.
The 4-year-old Hilda's Passion, ridden by Javier Castellano, covered the 61/2 furlongs in 1:15.79 for her fifth victory in nine starts.
She returned $4.80. The filly came into the Hurricane Bertie off a second-place finish Jan. 15 in the Sugar Swirl. North Rodeo was six lengths behind Ms Vanenzza in third. Tar Heel Mom, who beat Hilda's Passion by a neck in the Sugar Swirl, finished fourth.
