TEMPE, Ariz. -- Shawn Griswold has joined Todd Graham's Arizona State staff as director of strength and conditioning.

Graham describes Griswold as "the best strength and conditioning coach in America." He was a member of Graham's staff at Pittsburgh last year and for three seasons before that at Tulsa.

"Shawn is instrumental in everything we do," Graham said. "His work in strength and conditioning provides the necessary foundation, both physically and mentally, for our football program to succeed on the field."

Griswold's background also include stints at Louisville and his alma mater Utah State, where he played football and received a bachelor's degree in exercise science in 1996 and a masters of science degree in 1998.
