Greg Jennings doesn't deny writing 'Packers Suck' on Vikings helmet
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Greg Jennings has not-so-subtly shared his discontent with his former team, the Green Bay Packers, when he's talked about his time in Green Bay and former quarterback Aaron Rodgers in interviews.
Some are claiming Jennings has now done so in print.
A photo appeared on Instagram and promoted on Twitter with a Greg Jennings autograph and his No. 15 in silver pen on a Minnesota helmet. Next to the signature, in the same pen, was the words "Packers suck." The Twitter account was later deleted.
Jennings, who had been asked by Vikings coach Leslie Frazier to focus his attention on his new team because several comments had been blown up during training camp, appeared at a local business Tuesday for a public appearance and signed autographs. The claim with the photo is that Jennings was asked to write the "Packers Suck" and apparently he obliged.
Asked about it Wednesday, Jennings replied: "Oh my gosh. I'm not even going to jump into that. I'll let that story be what it is, a story. If you guys want to hype it. It has nothing to do with football, does it? Does it?"
Asked if the rumor was true then, Jennings said: "I'm not even going to address that. Are we talking football or are we talking something else?" He started to walk away before reporters asked about football-related questions and he stayed to answer the rest of the questions.
