Bruce Springsteen is no stranger to Madison Square Garden.
The venue is where The Boss and the E Street Band filmed their 'Live in New York City' DVD and CD as part of a 10-night stand to cap their 1999-2000 reunion tour. In 2012, he was part of a concert to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Thursday night, Springsteen took to MSG for another reason entirely, to cheer on Duke.

The Blue Devils were facing UCLA at the venerable stadium and Springsteen, whose daughter is a sophomore at Duke, set off a Twitter storm as he sat in the crowd sporting a Yankees hat.
But he didn't seem to have the same impact on Duke freshman Jabari Parker, who told SI.com "He was a little ahead of my time."

Glad to see my good friend @springsteen was at MSG tonight. His daughter is a Duke student and a highly competitive equestrian.
