Almost a year to the day after dislocating his left shoulder, Orlando Magic forward Glen Davis received another injury scare to the same shoulder.
Davis said following the Magic's 101-98 loss Sunday night at Oklahoma City that the shoulder temporarily popped out of its socket during the fourth quarter. He went to the bench in obvious pain after banging into the basket support but was able to return after the Magic had gone on a 10-0 run to close to within one possession of tying the Thunder.
Davis, who had 11 points and nine rebounds in the game, sounded as if his shoulder wouldn't keep him out of tonight's contest at Chicago.
"As long as I can move it and it doesn't stop my motion and I'm not going to hurt it even more by playing, I'll be fine," Davis told the Orlando Sentinel.
After the Magic face the Bulls, they will be off the road for the rest of the calendar year. They begin a stretch of six consecutive home games Wednesday night against the Utah Jazz.
