The Greater Columbus Sports Commission (GCSC) is proud to announce the addition of five corporate partners in AAA Ohio, FOX Sports Ohio, Anheuser-Busch, Cameron Mitchell and Donatos to further sustain the organization’s mission of attracting regional, national and international sporting events to bolster Greater Columbus economically and socially.

FOX Sports Ohio and AAA Ohio have joined the GCSC Board of Commissioners Executive Council.  The regional sports broadcasting network will be the presenting partner for the VIP reception at The 8th annual Morning Sports Report in June while the world’s largest travel agency will help promote select professional and amateur sporting events through travel packages for fans throughout Ohio.  Each will have the first right to sponsor GCSC events and serve on organizing committees of select Columbus sporting events while helping promote select GCSC sporting events throughout Ohio.

“We are extremely proud to add corporate partners of the stature of AAA Ohio and FOX Sports Ohio to our board,” said Linda Shetina Logan, executive director of the Greater Columbus Sports Commission.  “We are also thankful to Anheuser-Busch, Cameron Mitchell Restaurant and Donatos for their philanthropic support of our efforts to economically impact Columbus, which is one of the nation’s best sports destinations.”

“We are delighted to partner with the Greater Columbus Sports Commission,” said Henry S. Ford, FOX Sports Ohio’s Senior Vice President and General Manager. “While we feel our affiliation with the GCSC will help us further connect with viewers and fans in Central Ohio, FOX Sports Ohio more importantly aims to help promote the region by supporting the GCSC’s efforts to attract and market sporting events.”

“The Greater Columbus Sports Commission is a great vehicle for bringing sporting events to Central Ohio,” said Mark Shaw, president and CEO of AAA Ohio.  “This is our company`s first ever partnership with a sports commission and look forward to further adding tourism packages for sports fans that come to Columbus in large numbers on an annual basis because of the efforts of the GCSC.”

The Greater Columbus Sports Commission was formed in June 2002 to provide leadership, guidance and marketing expertise in attracting regional, national and international sporting events and activities to bolster Greater Columbus economically through visitor spending. It is the only organization 100% focused on attracting sporting events to Columbus.  Since its inception, GCSC has bid on and brought more than 150 new sporting events to Columbus that have generated an estimated $150 million in visitor spending while also working to retain annual bid events that have generated an additional $100 million in visitor spending.
