Vincent Clerc scored three tries to lead France over Ireland 26-21 and keep its Six Nations title defense on track.

France resisted a determined second-half comeback by the Irish to close out the win at Stade de France.

"We had a very good first half," Clerc said. "We were timid in the second half. We're half satisfied."
