1. (1) Mater Dei (6-0) (vs. No. 8 Orange Lutheran, Friday, 7p, Prep Zone)

How is this for a stat, at halftime, Mater Dei had 56 points and Santa Margarita had 55 yards of total offense. The Monarchs called off the dogs in the second half but still won comfortably 62-14. Sophomore quarterback J.T Daniels had seven touchdown passes in the first half.

2. (2) Corona Centennial (5-1)

The Huskies blew out Roosevelt 77-20 in a game that was over at halftime. Running back Miles Reed had another big game with 222 yards and four touchdowns on just 11 carries in this one.

3. (3) St. John Bosco (5-1)

The Braves crushed a pretty good Servite team 70-6. Since their loss to Bishop Gorman three weeks ago, the Braves look like a different team and have been mauling opponents on both sides of the ball. Santa Margarita is up next.

4. (4) Mission Viejo (6-0)

We thought Tesoro could give the Diablos a game but Mission was too strong and pitched a 41-0 shutout, its first of the year. Quarterback Matt McDonald was an efficient ... 6-of-9 with three touchdowns ... and Collin Schooler rushed for a pair of scores.

5. (5) Rancho Cucamonga (6-0)

The Cougars had a dominant win over Upland 47-10, their first win in six years over the Highlanders. Jaylon Redd scored on a kick off return, punt return, rushing and receiving.

6. (8) Serra (4-3)

The Cavs just keep getting better every week and won their fourth game in a row with a dominant 38-7 win over Notre Dame.

7. (9) La Mirada (5-2)

The Matadors took out Artesia 66-15 led by a big game from quarterback Tristan Meyer, who was 18-23 for 361 yards and seven touchdowns.

8. (NR) Orange Lutheran (4-2) (at No. 1 Mater Dei, Friday, 7p, Prep Zone)

The Lancers had a thrilling come from behind overtime win over JSerra 30-29. OLu was down most of the second half before kicking a field goal to send it to overtime and star safety Brandon McKinney made a big time play knocking down JSerra's two point conversion pass in OT to seal the win.

9. (10) Calabasas (6-0)

The Coyotes played without two of their standouts, Darnay Holmes and Bookie Radley but still took care of business against Westlake with a 46-16 victory. Calabasas will need the two stud defensive backs this week when it takes on a Newbury Park squad that just put up 49 points against Oaks Christian over the weekend.

10. (11) Long Beach Poly (4-2)

The Jackrabbits have beaten their last two opponents by a combined score of 147-0. Poly has two more Moore League matchups before national powerhouse Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy comes to town.
