CeCe Jefferson is officially a Florida Gator.

The five-star defensive end from Baker County Senior High School in Glen St. Mary, Florida, sent his National Letter of Intent on Monday morning, five days after drama materialized on National Signing Day.

Listed as the second-best player at his position in the state and third in the nation, Jefferson announced his decision to play for the Gators last Wednesday. But he never sent his NLI as his father, Leo, expressed doubts about the decision as well as disapproval of Florida's coaching change at defensive line. Chris Rumph has taken over for Terrell Williams.

On Saturday, Jefferson tweeted that his father and defensive coordinator Geoff Collins, who replaced D.J. Durkin under Jim McElwain's new regime, had a long talk. Hours later, the 6-foot-3, 258 pounder, attended Saturday's Florida-Kentucky men's basketball game in Gainesville.
