Evo Campo wins $75,000 Possibly Perfect at Santa Anita

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) Evo Campo won the $75,000 Possibly Perfect Stakes for fillies and mares by 1 1/4 lengths Sunday at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Rafael Bejarano, Evo Campo ran 1 1/2 miles on turf in 2:27.43 and paid $8.60, $4.80 and $3.20 to show at 3-1 odds.

Hiking returned $8.20 and $4.60, while Sharla Rae was another 1 1/4 lengths back in third and paid $3 to show.

The victory, worth $45,840, increased Ireland-bred Evo Campo's career earnings to $170,121, with five wins in 11 starts, including four on the track's turf course for trainer Paddy Gallagher.
