EMMY Awards go to FOX Sports Ohio's Columbus Blue Jackets & Reds coverage

Five EMMYs in total go to FOX Sports Ohio and SportsTime Ohio in 2014.

COLUMBUS, OH -- FOX Sports Ohio and SportsTime Ohio have won five EMMY Awards this year in combination of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Ohio Valley and Lower Great Lakes Chapters. This marks the first year that the networks' coverage of all four of their professional teams has won an EMMY.

FOX Sports Ohio won two EMMY Awards at the Ohio Valley Chapter's 50th Annual EMMY Awards, held downtown Columbus this past Saturday, August 2nd. These awards recognize television excellence in thirteen markets from four states, including Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton and Zanesville, Ohio, along with markets in Kentucky, Indiana, and West Virginia.

- FOX Sports Ohio's coverage of Columbus Blue Jackets hockey won the category for best live unedited sporting event.

- Reds Live pre/postgame show also won for best sports daily/weekly program.

Earlier this year, FOX Sports Ohio and SportsTime Ohio won three EMMYs at the Lower Great Lakes Chapter's 45th Annual EMMY Awards, which covers Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Indianapolis, Toledo, Fort Wayne, and Erie markets. FOX Sports Ohio's coverage of Cleveland Cavaliers basketball won for best live unedited sporting event while SportsTime Ohio's Indians Live pregame show from September 25th, 2013 won for best sports program along with best director Patrick Murray for Cleveland Indians baseball.
