The Texas Rangers will be without right-hander Ryan Dempster for their series against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Dempster didn't make the trip for personal reasons and was placed on the restricted list. Dempster was scheduled to start Saturday's game. Roy Oswalt will make the start in his place.
The Rangers recalled outfielder Leonys Martin to take Dempster's roster spot.
Dempster is expected to rejoin the team Monday when Texas opens a 10-game homestand at Rangers Ballpark.
Oswalt hasn't started since July 30. He's pitched three times out of the bullpen, with his last appearance Aug. 8.
