D-backs announce roster for Australia

The Diamondbacks announced their opening day roster Friday night, hours ahead of their regular-season opener against the Dodgers from the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney, Australia.

The D-backs have 12 pitchers, two catchers, seven infielders and four outfielders available for two games against the Dodgers.

Pitchers: Trevor Cahill, Josh Collmenter, Randall Delgado, Will Harris, David Hernandez, Wade Miley, Oliver Perez, J.J. Putz, Addison Reed, Bo Schultz, Joe Thatcher and Brad Ziegler.

Catchers: Tuffy Gosewisch and Miguel Montero.

Infielders: Eric Chavez, Paul Goldschmidt, Didi Gregorius, Aaron Hill, Chris Owings, Cliff Pennington and Martin Prado.

Outfielders: Tony Campana, Gerardo Parra, A.J. Pollock and Mark Trumbo.

Bronson Arroyo, Patrick Corbin and Brandon McCarthy are listed as inactive, as they did not make the intercontinental trip.

Five players who make the trip but are inactive are: Henry Blanco, Archie Bradley, Charles Brewer, Ryan Rowland-Smith and Zeke Spruill.

Reliever Matt Reynolds and outfielder Cody Ross are on the 15-day disabled list.

The D-backs will update their 25-man roster again when they return to the U.S. before they resume regular-season games March 31 against the Giants.
