After much back and forth, free-agent center DeAndre Jordan has decided to return to the Los Angeles Clippers.
The team made the announcement Wednesday night via Twitter.
Early reports indicated Jordan would be signing a max contract with the Dallas Mavericks, in his home state of Texas.
But the Clippers pulled out all the stops, at the last minute. Everyone who's anyone with the Clippers -- Doc Rivers, Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, J.J. Redick and team owner Steve Ballmer -- flew to Houston on Wednesday morning for a lengthy sit down with Jordan.
Now, the All-Defensive First Team center likely will sign a four-year max contract to stay in Los Angeles.
Relax, Clippers fans. Your man is coming back.
