Cleveland State dumps Valparaiso 63-52

VALPARAISO, Ind. (AP) -- Trey Lewis and Marlin Mason scored 11 points apiece as Cleveland State dumped Valparaiso 63-52 on Saturday.

Cleveland State (21-10, 12-4 Horizon) played eight players, seven of which scored between six and 11 points. Ludovic Ndaye added 10 points and seven rebounds while Charlie Lee had six assists and four steals to go with his six points.

The teams were tied at 28 with 2:18 left in the first half, but Trey Lewis hit 3-pointers on consecutive possessions to give Cleveland State a 34-31 lead at the break.

Lewis opened the second half with another 3 as the Vikings went on a 16-6 run to stretch their lead to 50-37 and cruised to the win. Valparaiso was outrebounded 32-25, turned the ball over 18 times and made just 10 of 16 free throws.

LaVonte Dority led Valpo (17-14, 9-7) with 13 points.
