"We are thrilled to partner with Longbridge Wealth Advisors and the Canton Charge to provide us this opportunity to bring domestic violence awareness to the forefront of our local community," said Nancy Jackson, marketing and development coordinator for Domestic Violence Project, Inc. "The funds and exposure from this night will provide a huge boost in our efforts to assist victims in our area."

Each active Charge player will wear uniforms adorning the Domestic Violence Project, Inc. and Longbridge Wealth Advisors logos during Friday night's home game. Fans in attendance will be able to bid on each individual player's jersey in an in-game silent auction on the concourse. Following the game's conclusion, each Charge player will autograph and present their jersey to the winning fan in an on court ceremony.

"This partnership presents the opportunity for us to be able to help spread awareness and contribute to the excellent work that Domestic Violence Project, Inc. does throughout Stark County," said Charge VP/COO Alan Mowrey. "We would like this night to be the benchmark for the Charge to be able to assist other non-profit organizations like this in teaming up to better our community."

Domestic Violence Project, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization that has been in existence for 36 years, starting with their 3 founding mothers: Nancy Boylan, Helen Syrios, and Gertrude Kennedy. They provide emergency and support services to victims of domestic violence, including drug and alcohol treatment, while promoting a common awareness of domestic violence issues. This encompasses two emergency shelters, transitional housing, legal advocacy, counseling, educational and prevention services for victims, their children and the community.
