The Browns and Lions preseason opener turned out to be the most-watched game and highest-rated televised preseason game in NFL Network's history.

Browns head coach Mike Pettine was asked if he thought it was to see his first game or to see quarterback Johnny Manziel. The game was watched by an average of 2.82 million viewers, which was a 1.81 US HH rating.

"My first game, no it is not surprising but the phenomenon still surprises all of us. We want the attention on us because we're winning football games," Pettine said.

The next closest was the 2007 Hall of Fame game between the Saints and the Steelers in 2007 with 2.07 million viewers and a 1.25 US HH rating.
