Badgers men's hockey outlasts Colorado College

MADISON -- Senior forward Tyler Barnes lit the lamp in overtime Saturday night, propelling No. 15 Wisconsin past Colorado College, 4-3, in men's hockey action.

Wisconsin overcame an early 2-0 deficit to improve its record to 8-5-1 overall. Brad Navin led the Badgers' offense, producing two assists and one goal. Michael Mersch and Jefferson Dahl also scored goals for Wisconsin.

Meanwhile, netminder Joel Rumpel recorded 26 saves for the hosts, in front of an announced crowd of 10,031 at the Kohl Center. Wisconsin improved to 7-0-1 at the Kohl Center this season. No penalties were called in the game, a first for Wisconsin since Feb. 24, 1967, in a 15-3 victory over Ohio University.

Colorado College (2-12-3 overall) got goals from Sam Rothstein, Archie Skalbeck and Jeff Collett.
