Arians accepts 'Ice Bucket Challenge'

A new phenomenon has hit the social media circuit -- the "Ice Bucket Challenge."

The challenge involves people getting doused with buckets of ice water on video, posting that video to social media and then nominating others to do the same, all in an effort to raise ALS awareness. ALS also is known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, and those afflicted with it cannot themselves be doused in such cold water.

Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians was challenged by Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer and on Monday accepted the challenge. You can watch the video here.

Before Arians was doused with two Gatorade jugs of ice water by Larry Fitzgerald and Carson Palmer, he issued the challenge to Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Arians was wide receivers coach with the Steelers from 2004 to 2006 and offensive coordinator from 2007-2011.
