4-star RB Jordan Scarlett to announce commitment Monday on FOXSportsFlorida.com
Jordan Scarlett, a 4-star running back out of St. Thomas Aquinas, will announce his commitment with FOX Sports Florida's Kavita Channe on FOXSportsFlorida.com at 7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 2.
There is no doubting Scarlett's athletic ability. For his high school career he ammassed 4,530 yards rushing and 79 touchdowns on 500 carries. This past season, Scarlett rushed for 1,124 yards and 26 touchdowns on 143 carries.
Scarlett, who has 20 offers, says his top three choices are Miami, Florida and Florida State. Although he gave a verbal commitment to Miami in July, more recently he said he was considering all three schools and made his official visits in January.
He had only positive things to say about each program. Even with Miami labeled the favorite, Florida coach Jim McElwain made a big impression on Scarlett due to his experience coaching NFL running backs. As far as the Seminoles go, he said FSU was his favorite team growing up and he visited the campus on Saturday.
