'Misery on ice': Team USA women fall one goal post shy of gold

It was heartbreak in Sochi for members of the Team USA women's hockey team as they fell to Canada in overtime after giving up two goals in the last three minutes of the third period.

The Canadian women won 3-2 after an improbable comeback, sealing their fourth consecutive Olympic women's hockey title.

Not to rub salt into an open wound, but the shot on Canada's empty net (shown below) by US forward Kelli Stack pretty much sums up the game. Maybe we should dub this game the "misery on ice" . . .

The Canadian and American men will meet in the same rink in the semifinals in less than 24 hours, and emotions may still be running high.
