Vikings DB Sendejo takes his Valentine's Day date to McDonald's

Valentine's Day is supposed to be a time for showing that you care about your significant other, so a beautiful bouquet of flowers and/or an expensive dinner tend to be in the date plans. For Minnesota Vikings safety Andrew Sendejo, however, some tacky, red heart balloons and a fast-food meal at McDonald's were apparently enough to get the point across.
Sendejo celebrated the lack of effort that went into his Valentine's Day date planning by posting a picture of the result on Twitter.

It looks like Sendejo spent about $10 on his date based on what's pictured above, but he has an excuse to be frugal at this point in his career. Even though he's coming off a two-year deal with the Vikings that netted him $2 million, the 28-year-old veteran is slated to become a free agent next month.
With the future uncertain, Sendejo must have convinced his date that he needed to pinch his pennies this Valentine's Day.
