Todd Bowles starts putting together Jets' new coaching staff

New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles is dipping into his personal working experience with former coaches to assemble his staff.

A source told FOX Sports that Atlanta Falcons defensive backs coach Joe Danna will be leaving to become a Jets assistant.

Danna and Bowles previously served together as defensive assistants for the Miami Dolphins. Danna joined the Falcons in 2012.

Bowles reportedly has targeted another one of his former Miami co-workers -- Dolphins defensive line coach Kacy Rogers -- as his defensive coordinator.

Bowles was hired Tuesday as New York's next head coach to replace Rex Ryan, who was fired at the end of the 2014 season.

The Falcons also are looking for a new head coach after firing Mike Smith. Some of the franchise's current assistants under contract are being prevented from interviewing with other teams until the vacancy is filled so Smith's replacement can decide their future in Atlanta.
