Terence Newman, Deion Sanders have something in common at age 37

In a 30-14 win over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, Minnesota Vikings cornerback Terence Newman intercepted Oakland's Derek Carr twice. He is 37 years old, making him one of only two players in NFL history to pick off two passes in a single game at that age.

According to ESPN's Ben Goessling, the only other player to pull off this feat was Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, who had had a two-interception game as a member of the Baltimore Ravens in 2004.

"It seems like he’s better with his age," Vikings cornerback Captain Munnerlyn said of Newman, via ESPN. "He’s coming up big and he’s been a leader on this team. I’m glad he’s on my team."

Newman's two interceptions in Week 10 were his first two of the season, raising his career total up to 39 picks (three have been returned for touchdowns). Even though he's one of the oldest cornerbacks in the game, the 13-year veteran of the league is still producing and finding a way to keep first-round rookie Trae Waynes on the bench as his backup.
