Subs Todman and Toussaint provide lift for Steelers

PITTSBURGH (AP) Pittsburgh Steeler running backs Fitzgerald Toussaint and Jordan Todman hardly looked like playoff rookies during last Saturday's wild-card win over Cincinnati.

The two combined for 123 yards rushing in Pittsburgh's 18-16 win. Toussaint added four receptions, including a pair on the Steelers' game-winning drive.

While Pittsburgh is hopeful starter DeAngelo Williams will be able to play on Sunday in the divisional round against Denver, Toussaint and Todman showed Pittsburgh's running game can thrive even without the 10-year veteran in the backfield.

The Steelers ran for just 23 yards in a 34-27 win over Denver on Dec. 10 and was forced to rely on the pass early after falling behind by 17.
