Sammy Watkins participates in 11-on-11 drill

The Buffalo Bills and their fans have high expectations for wide receiver Sammy Watkins who enters his second season in the NFL. After a strong rookie season that saw him catch 65 passes for 982 yards and six touchdowns, Watkins underwent hip surgery this offseason.

While he has been limited so far during the voluntary portion of OTAs, Watkins was seen doing a little bit more as the Bills started their mandatory minicamp. Specifically, Watkins participated in live 11-on-11 action where he caught a screen pass from new quarterback Tyrod Taylor. It was the only rep he participated in.

It makes sense that the Bills would take it very slowly with him as not only does Watkins have big expectations for 2015 but so do the Bills as an organization. Watkins will try to help end Buffalo's playoff drought which stretches all the way back to 1999.
