Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will be active for Thursday night’s game against the Texans., ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.
Gronkowski will make his season debut in front of his home fans after missing the Patriots’ first two wins with a hamstring injury. Patriots owner Robert Kraft suggested to WBZ-TV Thursday he expected Gronk to play.
The big playmaker will catch passes from rookie Jacoby Brissett, making his first career start with Tom Brady suspended and Jimmy Garoppolo injured.

Gronkowski caught 72 passes for 1,176 yards and 11 touchdowns last season.
The Patriots and Texans kick off at 8:25 ET.
