Report: Ex-Ravens RB Rice will speak with Mueller, NFLPA investigators together

Published Oct. 5, 2014 8:40 a.m. ET

Former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice will speak with representatives of two ongoing NFL investigations at the same time, according to a published report.

ESPN says that Rice, his wife Janay and his original attorney Michael Diamondstein will speak with representatives of the Robert Mueller investigation and the NFL Players Association's investigation at the same time in order to only give testimony once.

Rice and his wife will not be interviewed together, though, the report states.

According to the report, Rice and his new attorney Peter Ginsberg "extended the opportunity" to combine the interviews.

The interviews have not yet been scheduled. Rice was given an indefinite suspension on Sept. 8 for violating the league's personal conduct policy after video of an altercation with his then-fiancee Janay Palmer in a casino elevator surfaced.
