RB Hardesty out for Browns

Published Nov. 20, 2011 11:50 a.m. ET

Browns running back Montario Hardesty will miss his third consecutive game with a calf injury.

Hardesty tore a calf muscle on Oct. 30 at San Francisco. He returned to practice this week and had hoped to play in Sunday's game against Jacksonville. However, the Browns listed him as one of their seven inactives.

With both Hardesty and Peyton Hillis (hamstring) sidelined with injuries, Cleveland's running game has struggled. Chris Ogbonnaya, signed last month off Houston's practice squad, will start for Hardesty. Ogbonnaya rushed for 90 yards in last week's loss to St. Louis.

Hillis has missed five straight games with an injury sustained in Oakland on Oct. 16.

Also, Emmanuel Stephens will start at right defensive end for the Browns over Jayme Mitchell.

The Jaguars have no notable inactives.
