Ochocinco fan treated to dream weekend

Patriots star Chad Ochocinco gave one of his Twitter followers a weekend to remember as New England dusted the Denver Broncos to progress to the AFC Championship game.

Ochocinco invited Victor Gonzalez to spend the weekend in Foxborough, Mass., after the college student tweeted his hero, saying, "Been tweeting you for two years and have not ever gotten a response."

Gonzalez was flown up from Fort White, Fla., to dine Friday night with the wide receiver, who put him up in a hotel ahead of Saturday night's divisional playoff game at Gillette Stadium.

Ochocinco also loaded him up with Patriots gear, along with the precious game tickets.

Gonzalez was active on Twitter throughout the weekend, posting pictures as he relaxed with Ochocinco and Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, while tweeting, "Win or lose you gotta love Tim! Thanks to Chad for the intro!"

The dream adventure began when Ochocinco saw Gonzalez's tweet in the midst of his three million followers and replied, "Damn.. 2 years.. My bad want to come to the game on Saturday?"

At first Gonzalez did not think it was real and thought Ochocinco was probably just trying to quiet an angry fan until he noticed he was one of only 59 people Ochocinco is following on Twitter, myFOXboston.com reported.

After sending Ochocinco a direct message with his phone number, the number 85 sent a text message back telling Gonzalez his girlfriend would be in touch with his flight information.

Gonzalez's dream weekend was crowned with a 45-10 Patriots victory.
