NFL conducting culinary and career events

NFL players concerned with their post-football careers can get culinary and hospitality guidance next month for themselves and their wives.

Nine current players, including former Pro Bowlers Jahri Evans, Terrence McGee and Brandon Moore, will take part in a new NFL hospitality and culinary management workshop May 6 at the Institute of Culinary Education.

Participants will engage in interactive workshops before concluding the class with a hands-on cooking demonstration.

Sixty-four coaches and team executives will attend a career development symposium May 6-8 at the Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia. It's designed to be ''an important part of preparing the next generation of NFL head coaches and general managers,'' says NFL chief diversity officer Robert Gulliver.
