Minnesota Vikings have inflicted plenty of pain on their fanbase

Dan Hanzus of Around The NFL is counting down the "Pain Rankings" for fanbases of the league's least fortunate franchises. This week, Hanzus introduced the Minnesota Vikings as the No. 5 team on the list.

Minnesota's "pain résumé" included an 0-4 record in the Super Bowl. Hanzus named former kicker Gary Anderson as the "Patron Saint Of Pain" and cited Brett Favre's game-clinching interception in the 2009 NFC Championship game as the "Apex Of Pain." He also highlighted moments such as the Herschel Walker trade and the blowout loss in the 2000 NFC Championship game to further exemplify the pain.

The Vikings have fielded plenty of strong teams since their inception in 1961, but they've always been a snakebitten franchise. Perhaps this is the year that finally changes. According to OddsShark, Minnesota is tied for the 10th-best odds to win Super Bowl 50 at 33/1.
