JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) The Jacksonville Jaguars have waived Dwayne Gratz to make room for fellow cornerback Aaron Colvin, who was activated from the suspended list.

Gratz started 25 games over the past three years, recording 119 tackles and three interceptions. A third-round draft pick in 2013, Gratz became expendable following Colvin's return coupled with the emergence of rookie Jalen Ramsey and first-year player Josh Johnson.

Colvin, a fourth-round pick in 2014, was suspended four games for violating the NFL's police on performance-enhancing drugs. Colvin has started 16 starts, recording 98 tackles, nine passes defensed and four sacks.

The Jaguars (1-3) also signed third-year safety Akeem Davis to the practice squad. Davis has spent time with Washington, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Seattle, Indianapolis and Kansas City.
