Hester, Reed ruled out of Falcons' season opener vs Eagles

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) Return specialist Devin Hester has been ruled out of the Atlanta Falcons' season opener Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Hester had not practiced this week because of a toe injury. The team said Saturday he will not play.

Linebacker Brooks Reed will also miss the game as he recovers from groin surgery.
