Green Bay Packers News: Davante Adams suffers concussion vs. Dallas

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

Davante Adams will likely miss the Thursday Night Football meeting with Chicago after suffering a concussion in Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys.

Adams’ injury adds another to the scrapheap, the Packers already hurting at running back and cornerback. While Adams is yet to be ruled out of Thursday night’s contest, it is doubtful he returns so quickly from a concussion.

McCarthy wants to rely more on run game — Tom Silverstein of Packersnews.com

The Packers could do with some more depth at RB and CB, although as McCarthy says, it’s not as simple as that. Bringing in outside help would require cutting a player already on the roster, and there’s no guarantee the incoming player would offer an improvement. How McCarthy and Ted Thompson play this situation will be worth monitoring.
