Former Green Bay Packers CB Jarrett Bush suspended by NFL

Free agent cornerback Jarrett Bush, who played 15 games for the Green Bay Packers, has been suspended for the start of the 2015 season, Howard Balzer of The Sports Xchange reports.

According to Balzer's report, the NFL has suspended Bush for the first four games of the upcoming season, following his March arrest for public intoxication outside a bar in Vacaville, Calif. The 31-year-old cornerback did not sign with a new team after his contract with the Packers expired earlier this offseason.

The Packers should be particularly interested in the NFL's decision to suspend Bush, and not just because he's a former member of the team. The team is still awaiting discipline decisions for defensive tackle Letroy Guion and tight end Andrew Quarless.

Guion was arrested in February, after police found 357 grams of marijuana, an unloaded gun and $190,028.81 in cash in his car; the charges were dropped in March, when Guion paid a $5,000 fine, per ESPN's Rob Demovsky. Quarless was arrested over the 4th of July weekend for discharging a firearm in public.
