DA: Not enough to charge Titans Britt in bar fight

Published Nov. 30, 2010 8:37 p.m. ET

Authorities says there is not enough evidence to charge Tennessee Titans receiver Kenny Britt in a bar fight.

Instead, a grand jury has indicted another man, 29-year-old Bradford Miser, on assault charges for the Oct. 22 brawl in which no one was seriously hurt.

A customer at the bar told investigators that Britt was among those who assaulted him. Britt denied hitting anyone, though Coach Jeff Fisher benched the receiver for a quarter because of the reports.

According to a news release Tuesday from the district attorney's office, the grand jury determined there was not enough proof to charge anyone but Miser.

Titans spokesman Robbie Bohren had no comment Tuesday night about the grand jury action.
