AP sources: Jets' Marshall, Richardson argued after KC loss
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) Two people with direct knowledge of the situation say New York Jets star wide receiver Brandon Marshall and defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson got into a heated argument after the team's loss at Kansas City on Sept. 25.
The two yelled at each other in the Jets' locker room following the 24-3 defeat, but it never got physical, according to the people who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to comment.
ESPN.com first reported the incident on Thursday.
Coach Todd Bowles told the site that he ''took care of it right there,'' adding that he addressed Marshall and Richardson, as well as the team. Bowles also said ''it was loud,'' but it ''wasn't anything significant.''
Marshall downplayed the argument to ESPN.com, saying the two simply had a disagreement and quickly cleared the air with each other.
