ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) T.Y. Hilton's preference is to be paid like an All-Pro receiver in Indianapolis.

On Tuesday, Hilton's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told a small group of reporters he was hopeful the two sides could agree to a contract extension by Labor Day weekend, as team owner Jim Irsay has suggested. Hilton's contract expires after the season.

A year ago, he caught 82 passes for a career high 1,345 yards and seven touchdowns to earn his first trip to the Pro Bowl. Hilton recently questioned on Twitter whether the new five-year, $70 million deals signed by Dallas' Dez Bryant and Denver's Demaryius Thomas should serve as the standard for him.

Rosenhaus declined to talk about the terms he was seeking.
