A few Carolina Panthers get a preseason military excursion
The Carolina Panthers got to have a bit of fun before their preseason fully kicked off, thanks to a partnership with the USO of North Carolina. The trip was set up thanks to Military Appreciation Month, according to David Newton of ESPN.
Newton points out that players such as Nate Chandler, Mario Addison, Fozzy Whittaker, Graham Gano and Brian Folkerts were all at the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base this week. The group was able to do things such as taking control of a flight simulator, boarding an actual refueling jet and taking a trip to the gun range.
Addison may have put it best, when saying it was the “most fun I’ve had all year...the last 10 years,’’ Addison told ESPN with a huge smile.
The photo below from Grahan Gano's Twitter shows exactly the type of experience the players really got.
I'm guessing that once that plane got off the ground, you probably couldn't beat the view from Gano's seat.
