You can own Kobe's pad, for just . . .
We've heard plenty about Kobe Bryant's Achilles injury in the news lately. Same with his dislike for preseason rankings and his role in the Dwight Howard saga. But anybody else notice how Bryant and money keep getting tied into the same headlines, as well?
Last month, after battling his parents over much of his memorabilia, they scored well into the six figures in an auction of some of his big-ticket items. And that was around the same time he made it clear he has no interest in taking a pay cut — even telling a Lakers fan site, "I’m going to try to get as much as I possibly can."
And now comes a third story, and this one is dealing with some major bucks. Kobe and Vanessa Bryant have put their Newport Coast, Calif., mansion on the market.
Got $8.6 million sitting around?
