Although the Washington Wizards are still waiting on Paul Pierce's decision with his player option, backup guard Garrett Temple won't delay the decision any longer.

According to a report from Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post, Temple has exercised his player option for the 2015-16 season.

Here's more from the Washington Post:

"Washington Wizards guard Garrett Temple has exercised the player option on his contract for next season, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

The decision is not a surprise; Temple said he expected to opt in last month. Temple, 29, will make $1.1 million next season, a bump in pay from the $981,084 he made this past campaign.

A combo guard, Temple provides a positive locker room presence, solid defense and depth at both guard positions. He appeared in 52 regular season games and was called on to make 18 starts for the injured Bradley Beal. He averaged 3.9 points and shot 37.5 percent from three in 14.1 minutes per contest before a strained right hamstring ended his regular season on March 9."
