Wizards coach on Beal's shoulder injury: 'Everything is good'
Heading into their highly anticipated showdown against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night, the Washington Wizards narrowly escaped some devastating news: Bradley Beal is OK!
The star shooting guard injured his shoulder diving for a loose ball against the Atlanta Hawks over the weekend. The play looked bad, and there was a real chance Beal could've been out for a serious length of time. He missed practice on Monday, but head coach Randy Wittman said afterward that it's not that big a deal.
Here's CSN Mid-Atlantic with more:
“Everything is good. He’s sore. He didn’t do anything today. We’ll see,” coach Randy Wittman said after practice. “He made good with his strides from yesterday to today. He’ll be questionable for tomorrow.”
Beal is averaging 23.5 points per game, shooting a sensational 47.1 percent from behind the 3-point line. The Wizards badly need him on offense, especially with all the other injuries they've suffered over the past few months.
