Windy City Bulls Release Official Uniforms for First D-League Season

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

On Friday afternoon, the Windy City Bulls — the new D-League affiliate for the Chicago Bulls — released the designs for their new uniforms this season. They’ll look familiar to many.

The NBA season is already underway, but for the Windy City Bulls, the wait is prolonged for another week.

However, even with the debut of the new D-League Bulls not coming until Nov. 11, there’s still some time to sort some things out.

One of those things on the to-do list: Uniforms.

The Windy City Bulls made them official on Friday in a press release, displaying their home and away uniforms for their first D-League season.

Although the name is a little bit different for the D-League Bulls, the design remains fairly the same as the NBA Bulls. One difference is that the road uniforms for the D-League Bulls say “WINDY CITY” across the chest. The NBA Bulls’ uniforms have just “BULLS” across the chest of their home and away uniforms.

Here’s more from the official release:

Both uniforms bear a strong resemblance to the iconic Chicago Bulls uniforms, including the same color schemes to reinforce the affiliation of the two organizations. Windy City’s uniforms also incorporate the logo of the team’s presenting sponsor, BMO Harris Bank, across the front of the jersey below the player’s number.

The Windy City Bulls secondary logo is displayed on the right side of the shorts with the primary logo on the left side on both the home and road uniforms.

As for the franchise itself, the roster is taking shape under head coach Nate Loenser. The roster currently sits at 12 players, including Spencer Dinwiddie, the third-year guard from Colorado who was traded to the Bulls this past summer and had a nice preseason with the NBA Bulls.

The Windy City Bulls debut on Nov. 11 at home against the Long Island Nets.
