Win In 6 Podcast #83: Final Season Predictions For Bucks, NBA, Awards
In the latest edition of our Milwaukee Bucks’ Win In 6 Podcast, we make our final predictions for the Bucks and the wider NBA as the return of the regular season is imminent.
It’s that time of week again as our team gets together to discuss the latest Milwaukee Bucks‘ news and most important conversation points in our “Win In 6 Podcast”!
If our function wasn’t to talk about the Bucks all year round, at this point I’d probably be saying something such as “the time for talking is almost over”. Instead though, it seems more apt to say that the time for more focused, topical and concrete discussion has returned.
We’re only one day away from the return of the NBA and only two days away from the Milwaukee Bucks returning to action at the Bradley Center. We ain’t talking about preseason, we’re talking about real-life regular season basketball.
Regular listeners of the podcast will remember that a couple of months ago Jordan Treske and I offered up our way too early predictions and projections for the NBA season. Now, the time has come for the more timely, revised version of that discussion.
With injuries and deals having transpired in the time since that podcast, (and my Hornets jibes having gotten through to Jordan), it was time for us to revisit and revise our predictions to come out with something more final and in some cases, dare I say, bolder.
Starting out West, we worked our way up from the bottom to the top of each conference, weighing in on our win totals and discussing some of areas where our opinions differed more significantly.
We did the same in the East, where the Middleton injury has unfortunately dissipated much of our Bucks post-season optimism, although we still have enough faith in Milwaukee to see them land close enough that a couple of breaks there way could make the whole season turn for the better.
Before moving on to Milwaukee specifically, Jordan and I also made our picks for the NBA’s major awards in the coming season. One of us even picked a Buck to make that exclusive club.
In terms of the Bucks, we offered our thoughts on the players who might surprise us all in offering strong play or disappointment that isn’t currently anticipated, we spoke about who Milwaukee’s best player could be this season, and what we believed the overall shape of the year would look like.
With real games to look forward to, we also briefly previewed the action for the coming week and made our predictions for all of Milwaukee’s opening three games.
As usual, our mailbag was on hand to wrap things up with more questions on what lies in store for the Bucks this year.
Joining me for this week’s episode, as usual, was contributor Jordan Treske.
