Watch Marcus Smart make the Brooklyn Nets wish they were never born

This is a big year for Marcus Smart and the Boston Celtics. So much will be asked of the second-year point guard, and Boston needs him to lead their team in the right direction.

So far in the preseason, Smart looks pretty good. Physically, he's closer to an NBA star than a 21-year-old learning the ropes. Just look at this put-back dunk from last night's win over the Brooklyn Nets:

Smart is averaging 9.0 points and 4.0 assists through three preseason games. More importantly, he's shooting 47.1 percent from the floor, and barely turning the ball over. His athleticism is scary, as is his intuition on the defensive end.

But Boston needs Smart to run their offense and become more of a force scoring the ball. If he can make that leap this season, there's no telling how many games the Celtics can win.
