Wade, Bosh sit vs. Raptors

Dwyane Wade's headache is the latest headache for the Miami Heat.

Wade was ruled out of Saturday's game against the Toronto Raptors after spending the day dealing with a migraine, and forward Chris Bosh will miss the matchup against his former club with a sprained left ankle.

Wade has dealt with migraine issues at times for years, even playing through them on occasion. He was unable to participate in the team shootaround practice Saturday morning, and spent most of the day resting at home, to no avail.

''If anybody in the world can come up with a cure for migraines, they'd probably make a lot of money,'' Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said.

The Heat came into Saturday on a four-game slide, and the Toronto game marks the fourth straight game where Miami would have a significant starter sidelined. Two-time reigning NBA MVP LeBron James missed losses in Denver and Chicago, and Bosh sat out Tuesday's defeat against Atlanta.

So with Wade and Bosh out, Miami's ''Big 3'' will be down to one.

''You never want to get involved in the 'why us' factor,'' James said. ''You just want to try to get guys healthy.''

Spoelstra said Bosh is getting better, noting he was working out on a treadmill about 90 minutes before Saturday's game.

Meanwhile, Bosh's former team has plenty of injury concerns as well.

Nearing the end of a rough five-game road trip, the Raptors are down to nine available players. Forwards Linas Kleiza and Joey Dorsey are both dealing with sore knees and will not play. Leandro Barbosa (hamstring), Sonny Weems (back) and Reggie Evans (foot) are inactive.

''It's frustrating because everyone here is competitive and everyone here wants to give us the best opportunity to win,'' Raptors coach Jay Triano said. ''With that, some of our younger kids are getting a chance to play a lot of minutes and getting a chance to develop their game.''

Triano said Barbosa is still undergoing treatment in Toronto and may be back in about a week.

After Saturday's game, the Heat do not play again until they visit the New York Knicks on Thursday, giving Wade and Bosh plenty of time to heal.
